Kelontay Akil Croom, a 22-year-old man from St. Paul, Minnesota, tragically lost his life on March 17, 2016, during a violent incident in Minneapolis. The event occurred around 2 a.m. at the intersection of Logan Avenue and 53rd Avenue North. Croom was involved in a shootout between two vehicles traveling east on 53rd Avenue North. The confrontation escalated, leading to both vehicles crashing. Following the crash, some individuals fled the scene on foot.
Croom was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman who was also involved was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
