In the early morning hours of July 1, 2020, a playful interaction outside a Saint Paul, Minnesota bar took a tragic turn, ending the life of 25-year-old Taquita Williams, a Black female. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. outside the Trend Bar on University Avenue, where Williams was with 20-year-old Dominique DeAngelo Taylor.
