On a tragic Friday evening in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the life of Keyira Patrice Monay Nunn, a 17-year-old Black/African American female, was cut short on June 2, 2017. She was a passenger in a car, riding through the city's East Side around 5 p.m. when a senseless act of violence unfolded. Near the intersection of Third Street East and Van Dyke Street, another vehicle, a tan SUV, pulled up alongside them. A single shot was fired from the SUV, striking Keyira in the chest.
