Larry Borteh, a 34-year-old educator and youth mentor from Minneapolis, was found fatally shot in a car that had crashed in the Hawthorne neighborhood on July 2, 2020. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. near the intersection of North 21st Avenue and North 4th Street. Authorities believe Borteh was shot elsewhere, possibly in the 2100 block of North Fremont Avenue, before his car crashed.
