On the evening of August 17, 2020, a domestic situation in a Blaine, Minnesota home tragically cut short the life of 47-year-old Yuliya Khort. Police were dispatched to a residence on the 600 block of 120th Avenue Northeast at approximately 8:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, they were informed that a man inside the home was armed. The situation quickly escalated as officers on the scene heard multiple gunshots coming from within the house.
