On October 14, 2020, Mohamed Abdirasek Ahmed, a 25-year-old resident of Woodbury, Minnesota, was tragically shot and killed in the Corcoran neighborhood of Minneapolis. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on the 3500 block of 19th Avenue South, near Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Ahmed on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
