On the night of August 23, 2021, 48-year-old Demond A. Bingham was fatally shot in St. Paul's North End neighborhood. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Albemarle Street, near Lewis Park. Responding officers found Bingham suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts to aid him, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene shortly thereafter. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the victim as Demond A. Bingham of Little Canada.
