In the crisp autumn air of Minneapolis, a life was tragically cut short. Jaquell Vaughn, a 23-year-old Black male, became another victim of gun violence on Thursday, November 4, 2021. The incident unfolded in the 800 block of East Franklin Avenue, where Vaughn was shot multiple times. First responders found him in critical condition and rushed him to Hennepin Healthcare for emergency medical treatment.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Jaquell Vaughn succumbed to his injuries the
following day, on November 5, 2021. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that his death was a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds. The official identification was made public on November 10, 2021.
In the wake of the shooting, the Minneapolis Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. However, the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with Jaquell Vaughn's death, and authorities have not released any descriptions of potential suspects.
