On March 25, 2022, Kirk Douglas Lee, a 46-year-old resident of Minneapolis, MN, was fatally shot near the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in the Powderhorn neighborhood. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m., and when officers from the Minneapolis Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Lee with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was immediately transported to Hennepin Healthcare, where he was later pronounced dead.
