In the early morning hours of May 4, 2022, violence shattered the pre-dawn quiet of Saint Paul's Frogtown neighborhood. Erick F. Stevens, a 26-year-old man, was in the 700 block of Edmund Avenue when he was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m., a time when the city was mostly asleep, but for Stevens, it marked the final moments of his life.
