In the summer of 2015, the community of Junction City, Kansas, was struck by the untimely death of Jay Michael Henning, a 44-year-old male resident. On June 14, 2015, Henning was found deceased at his home. An obituary described him as a man dedicated to his family and faith, who had retired from the military and was working as an Administrative Officer for Kansas State University's Central Mail Services.
