In the autumn of 2016, the life of 28-year-old Michael J. Stadler was cut short in a senseless act of violence on the streets of Topeka, Kansas. On the evening of October 8th, what began as a verbal altercation between occupants of two vehicles escalated into a fatal road rage incident. Stadler was a passenger in a van when occupants of both his vehicle and another began exchanging words and rude gestures. The confrontation took a deadly turn when shots were fired from the other vehicle.
