In the winter of 2016, a drug deal in a south Wichita mobile home park turned fatal, leaving a 45-year-old man dead and setting in motion a murder investigation that would lead to the conviction of his killer. Michael Hamilton, a welder by trade, was shot inside his residence in the 3800 block of South Meridian on December 2, 2016. The incident began when two men arrived at his home to sell him marijuana.
