On a cold February day in 2017, the life of James Christopher III, a 45-year-old Black / African American man, was tragically cut short in his Kansas City, Kansas home. On February 7th, a relative discovered the bodies of Christopher and his 28-year-old cousin, Alfred Vine Jr., inside Christopher's house located in the 400 block of Greeley Avenue. Both men had been shot multiple times in what police would rule a double homicide.
