In the winter of 2017, a life was tragically cut short in Wichita, Kansas. Semaj Chambers, a 25-year-old Black man, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 2nd. The incident unfolded in a climate of simmering tensions that began earlier in the evening.
