A resident of Miami, Oklahoma, her final hours were spent in the neighboring state of Kansas. On the morning of December 7th, she was last seen in Baxter Springs. Later that same day, her body was discovered under grim circumstances in the Elk Creek Reservoir located in Montgomery County, Kansas. An investigation into her death would reveal a violent end; she had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
