On January 17, 2022, Mariah Zamora, a 16-year-old from Wichita, Kansas, tragically lost her life in a shooting incident. The event occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the River Walk Apartments located in the 2800 block of S. Emporia. Mariah was found inside a vehicle that had crashed into a garage at the apartment complex.
