An evening out with friends in Wichita, Kansas, turned tragic for 23-year-old Kelsey Charleigh Shaw, a Black/African American female, on March 9, 2014. In the early morning hours, Kelsey was waiting with her friends to enter an after-hours party at a private establishment located at 1002 N. Cleveland, a motorcycle business by day. Inside the club, an argument had broken out between two groups, leading to some individuals being removed from the premises. The conflict then spilled outside.
