In the winter of 2018, the life of 20-year-old Ky Elliott Jones Jr. was cut short in a violent confrontation on a Saturday afternoon in Wichita, Kansas. The incident, which also resulted in the death of his 20-year-old companion, Jeremy R. Burdine, was not a straightforward case of murder, but rather one that authorities would ultimately deem a justifiable act of self-defense.
