In the early morning hours of June 29, 2020, a tragedy unfolded in Kansas City, Kansas, that would forever alter the lives of one family. Fifteen-year-old Lesly Franco Galvan, a young female, was inside a vehicle with others near the intersection of South Boeke Street and Osage Avenue. It was then that the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the morning. A bullet struck Lesly, inflicting a life-threatening injury.
