In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Wichita, Kansas, the life of 19-year-old Andreas Carlyle, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On August 1, 2020, shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the 600 block of North Pinecrest, near Central and Oliver. There, they discovered Carlyle lying in the street with fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
