In the early morning hours of June 23, 2021, a tragedy unfolded in a quiet neighborhood in Wichita, Kansas, that would cut short the promising life of a local teenager. Kahleb Engram, a 17-year-old Black/African American male, was fatally shot in what police have described as a walk-by shooting. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 5300 block of East Countryside.
