In the quiet rural outskirts of Lawrence, Kansas, the life of 31-year-old Austin J. Crystal was tragically cut short on the night of Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was a man remembered for his intelligence and wit, a 2007 graduate of Eudora High School with a deep affection for animals. The events of that winter evening unfolded in a burst of violence that would leave two men dead and another wounded, sparking a homicide investigation that has yet to conclude with an arrest.
