In the late hours of a Monday night in Topeka, Kansas, the life of Michael L. Stringfield, a 42-year-old Black / African American man, was tragically cut short. On February 15, 2021, just before 11:30 p.m., the sound of gunshots echoed in the 3700 block of SW Plaza Drive, prompting multiple calls to the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center.
