On the night of March 6, 2021, a gathering in Wichita, Kansas, turned tragic, ending the life of 20-year-old Christopher Terrell Jr., a Black male. At a house in the 1000 block of North Volutsia, Terrell was with 27-year-old De'Adrian A. Johnson and a 16-year-old boy. The three were reportedly smoking marijuana and consuming Xanax bars when Johnson began to react negatively to the substances.
