On the night of May 4, 2021, the life of 31-year-old Floyd Ross Jr., a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Leavenworth, Kansas. At approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to reports of gunshots in the vicinity of North Fourth and Kiowa streets. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ross in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
