On a Friday afternoon, June 11, 2021, the life of 23-year-old LaVincent Perdue, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Junction City, Kansas. A Specialist with the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Perdue was at Elite Cuts Barbershop in the 700 block of West 6th Street. An outing with friends to get haircuts turned fatal in the parking lot of the business just before 4 p.m.
