On a Sunday afternoon, July 31, 2022, a 26-year-old Black male named Shaquille J. Jackson was fatally shot at a BP gas station in Overland Park, Kansas. The incident occurred shortly after 4:20 p.m. at the corner of Antioch Road and College Boulevard. First responders arrived to find Jackson with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds. At the time of the shooting, police did not release any information about a suspect.
