On August 8, 2016, Donald Stephen Johnson Jr., aged 45, was found with gunshot wounds in Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. near a recreation center on the 5700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. Johnson was discovered by police with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
