On January 17, 2017, at approximately 5:58 PM, 44-year-old Anthony Irving was shot and killed in the 4400 block of Hayes Street, NE, Washington, DC^1^. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the homicide.
