In the late afternoon of Sunday, May 28, 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a residential street in Northeast Washington, D.C. When police responded to the 5200 block of Dix Street NE, they discovered 24-year-old Wayne Joaquin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
