In the late summer of 2017, the life of a young Washington, D.C. woman was tragically cut short by an act of violence that remains unresolved. Danielle Williams, a 29-year-old Black/African American female, was in the unit block of M Street, Northwest, on the evening of Wednesday, September 13, 2017, when gunfire erupted.
