In the early hours of a chilly Saturday morning in Washington, D.C., a tragic series of events unfolded that would claim the life of 32-year-old Jacob Jones, a Black male from Southeast. On December 8, 2018, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Jones was fatally shot in the 5100 block of H Street in Southeast Washington, D.C. The sounds of gunshots initially drew police to the residential area.
