In the early morning hours of May 24, 2020, a gathering on a porch in Southeast Washington, D.C. took a fatal turn. Twenty-six-year-old Kayvon Kinney, a male resident of the area, was with his girlfriend, another man named Michael Austin, Austin's girlfriend, and her mother.
