On June 11, 2020, at approximately 1:51 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 4700 block of Jay Street, Northeast, Washington, DC, following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Kevin Redd suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to a local hospital, Redd was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
