On July 2, 2020, at approximately 4:12 am, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District responded to a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of 25th Street, Southeast, Washington, DC. Upon arrival, they discovered an unconscious male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Zamonte Clark from Southeast, DC, was pronounced dead at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
