On what was supposed to be a day of introduction, a Washington, D.C. family was shattered by a brutal act of violence that left a young mother and her own mother dead. Ebony Wright, a 32-year-old woman, was fatally shot on April 12, 2021, in her apartment in the 2300 block of Good Hope Court, SE. The tragic event unfolded when Keanan Turner, the 34-year-old father of Ebony's infant son, came to her home, ostensibly to meet his child for the very first time.
