He was with his girlfriend, taking in the country music when the sound of gunfire suddenly pierced the festive atmosphere. In the ensuing chaos, as people scrambled for cover, Robbins looked at his girlfriend and said he thought he had been shot before collapsing. A bullet had struck him in the chest, and he likely died within seconds.
