In the pre-dawn hours of August 23, 2025, a photo shoot in a Las Vegas neighborhood took a tragic turn, ending the life of 23-year-old Mark Gaughan, a White / Caucasian male. Gaughan, a model, was photographing his girlfriend, 20-year-old Allysandra Blea, who was posing with a firearm near a vehicle. In a flash, the creative session turned deadly when the gun discharged, striking Gaughan in the neck. Police were called to the scene on Nassau Drive shortly before 5 a.m., where they found him lying on the sidewalk. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators found Polaroid pictures near Gaughan's body, capturing the moments leading up to the fatal shot. The images depicted Blea and another woman posing with weapons, including the handgun involved in the shooting. Initially, Blea insisted to detectives that the shooting was a terrible accident, claiming she believed the firearm was not loaded. However, as authorities delved into her background, a more disturbing picture began to emerge. A review of her social media accounts revealed what police described as a fascination with firearms and violent imagery. Detectives uncovered numerous messages where Blea allegedly discussed her love of guns, building an arsenal, and even fantasies of shooting people.

Three days after the fatal shooting, on August 26, 2025, Allysandra Blea was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. According to police reports, another friend who was present stated they had all been drinking prior to the incident. This friend witnessed Blea point the gun at Gaughan just before hearing the shot. Another individual told police that he had unloaded the weapon earlier in the evening for safety, removing the magazine and clearing the chamber. At her initial court appearance, a judge denied bail for Blea as the investigation continued. No other suspects have been named in connection with the death of Mark Gaughan.
