When officers arrived at the scene, they found one adult male with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and Lopez, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to the University Medical Center Trauma Center, where Lopez was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation, led by the LVMPD Homicide Section, indicated that there was an ongoing dispute between Lopez, his family members, and the neighbors. The altercation involved at least three individuals: Lopez, the injured neighbor, and a third man who lived in the neighborhood and was possibly involved in the shooting.
