In the east Las Vegas Valley, a fatal encounter unfolded on March 1, 2026, leaving 27-year-old James Espinoza dead from a gunshot wound. The incident, which transpired near the intersection of Lake Mead and Nellis boulevards, was captured by a nearby vehicle's dash camera. The footage showed a man, later identified as Robert Aguilar Jr., 39, approaching Espinoza on a bicycle. Following a brief interaction, both men drew firearms and an exchange of gunfire erupted.
