On November 22, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in southwest Las Vegas, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Dakota Michael Bublin. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Bublin was involved in a narcotics transaction that turned deadly. The incident took place near the intersection of West Mesa Vista Avenue, Hacienda Avenue, and Buffalo Drive, although some reports also mention the area around Durango Drive and Tropicana Avenue as the location of the encounter.
