In the autumn of 2013, the life of 57-year-old Alvin Eugene Moore, an African-American man, was violently cut short in his Las Vegas apartment. On the evening of October 29th, police were dispatched to the Tammany Hall apartments on Escondido Street, not far from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus, following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered Moore unresponsive on his living room floor, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
