Patricia Salas, a 48-year-old woman from Las Vegas, Nevada, was fatally shot on November 25, 2019, while driving on Lake Mead Boulevard near Lamb Boulevard. The incident occurred just hours after she left her job at Las Adelitas nightclub, located at 3402 E. Lake Mead Blvd, where she worked as an 'atmosphere girl,' serving drinks and interacting with male customers.
In the days leading up to her death, Salas had expressed concerns for her safety.
Five days before the shooting, she sent a photo of a red Honda Accord to a friend, indicating that if anything happened to her, the Honda would be involved.
The investigation into Salas' death led to the identification and arrest of several suspects. Alvie Herrell, 23, and Christian Walker, 19, who are brothers, were arrested and charged with murder in connection with Salas' death. According to the arrest reports, Christian Walker is accused of being the shooter, while Alvie Herrell was allegedly involved in the incident as well. A third suspect, Sebastian Nava, 33, also known as Sebastian Nava-Guerra, was identified and arrested. Nava was linked to the crime through his association with the vehicles involved—a red Honda Accord and a maroon Cadillac Escalade—and his presence at the nightclub on the night of the shooting.
On the night of the incident, Nava was inside Las Adelitas nightclub when Salas reported for work. He left the bar around 3:30 a.m., and about an hour later, Salas left work and walked to her car in the parking lot. As she was leaving, the red Honda Accord and the maroon Cadillac Escalade pulled into the parking lot. The Honda, which had an Uber sticker, blocked the southeast exit of the parking lot, while the Escalade parked near Salas' car. A man wearing a red bandanna got out of the Honda and approached Salas' car, but she drove away before he could reach her. The man then returned to the Honda, and both vehicles followed Salas down Lake Mead Boulevard. Surveillance footage showed the Cadillac pulling into an apartment complex near the intersection with Lamb Boulevard, while the Honda accelerated and drove alongside Salas' vehicle. This was shortly before she was shot.
The shooting resulted in Salas being hit by multiple 9 mm bullets, with 13 expended shell casings found on Lake Mead Boulevard just east of Lamb Boulevard. Despite being shot, Salas managed to drive about a quarter-mile before crashing into a wall. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds.
In addition to Herrell, Walker, and Nava, a fourth suspect, Myriam Yasenia Santiago, 43, was also arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in connection with Salas' death on March 25, 2020.
Sebastian Nava had a prior history of criminal activity, having pleaded guilty to felonies including burglary and robbery. At the time of his arrest for Salas' murder, he was also facing charges in separate felony cases, including drug possession, weapons charges, and robbery with a deadly weapon. Nava had also been indicted in District Court on a charge of accessory to murder in a different case, with a trial scheduled for June 2019.
During the investigation, sources provided crucial information linking the suspects to the crime. One source identified Nava as the driver of the maroon Cadillac Escalade and confirmed that Herrell and Walker matched the descriptions of the men involved. Another source stated that Herrell received a phone call outside the club before the shooting and then called Walker. This source also indicated that Herrell was in the Escalade with Nava during the shooting, while Walker was the shooter from the passenger side of the Honda Accord.
The arrests and subsequent court proceedings marked a significant development in the case, bringing some closure to the investigation into Patricia Salas' tragic death.
