On the evening of January 7, 2021, the life of 32-year-old Hispanic male Jose Santa Cruz was tragically cut short in a shopping plaza parking lot on East Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada. A special education teacher, Santa Cruz was with his father, who was setting up their family's taco truck nearby.
