On a Sunday morning in Las Vegas, the life of James Wagner, a 59-year-old Black/African American male, was cut short by an act of violence. On May 8, 2022, police responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment on the 200 block of Maryland Parkway, near Fremont Street. Inside, they discovered Wagner, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
