In the winter of 1978, the life of 17-year-old Joyce Francine Gaunt, a White/Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in Seattle, Washington. On February 17, 1978, her body was discovered at a picnic area in Seward Park. The scene was grim; she was found nude and lying face down, having been brutally beaten, sexually assaulted, and strangled, with her skull crushed.
