On a spring evening in 1983, a 17-year-old White female named Sandra Kay Gabbert disappeared from the Seattle area. Once the star of her high school basketball team, Sandra had reportedly dropped out of school, finding herself living a transient life with her boyfriend in various motels along the perilous Pacific Highway South, a stretch of road also known as the Sea-Tac Strip.
