On April 20, 1914, a tragic event unfolded in Ludlow, Colorado, forever marking it as the site of one of the most violent labor disputes in American history. Among the lives lost in what would come to be known as the Ludlow Massacre was a man identified as Frank Bartolotti. The male victim was one of numerous striking coal miners and their family members who were attacked by the Colorado National Guard and private guards acting on behalf of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company.
