On the evening of June 9, 1975, Bruce Wrede, a 26-year-old white male, was in his Capitol Hill apartment at 1626 Washington Street in Denver with a friend. Their evening was violently interrupted when they were confronted by multiple individuals in what appeared to be an attempted robbery.
